We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Acute Dialysis Charge Nurse to join our specialized healthcare team. In this vital role, you will lead and coordinate dialysis care for patients experiencing acute kidney failure or other renal conditions requiring immediate intervention. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. As a key team leader, you will oversee clinical operations, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with physicians to optimize treatment outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive acute dialysis nursing care, including vascular access management, dialysis machine operation, and patient monitoring during treatment sessions.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices in dialysis procedures.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and evaluation of physiological parameters relevant to renal function and overall health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that incorporate medical documentation, medication administration, and patient education.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, OSHA standards, and hospital policies related to infection control and sterile processing.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care activities and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, incident reporting, and utilization review processes to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in acute care settings providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Demonstrates leadership competencies and skills for the position, including continuous quality improvement, team building, motivating employees, performance management and decision making
- Demonstrates management skills necessary to provide leadership in the supervision of dialysis personnel and to ensure the delivery of maximum quality care to all patients
- Excellent communication skills

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
