Providers have access to available clinical documentation, laboratory results, and imaging needed to evaluate patients and manage acute and chronic endocrine conditions remotely.
Position Overview
ORTELE HEALTH is seeking a qualified Endocrinology Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (MD, DO, NP, or PA) to provide virtual endocrinology services to patients in Michigan.
The selected provider will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with a variety of endocrine and metabolic conditions. The role offers meaningful opportunities for patient education, medication management, chronic-disease monitoring, and follow-up care.
This part-time, remote position can be performed from an eligible private home or professional office setting and offers flexibility without the administrative burden of operating an independent practice.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive endocrinology evaluations through secure video visits
- Assess and manage endocrine and metabolic conditions within the provider’s authorized scope of practice
- Review relevant medical records, laboratory results, imaging, medications, and clinical histories
- Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans
- Order appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, medications, and referrals
- Educate patients regarding their diagnoses, medications, lifestyle recommendations, and treatment goals
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, laboratories, and other members of the care team
- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Follow applicable federal and state laws, professional standards, and ORTELE HEALTH clinical policies

Minimum QualificationsFor Physicians
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited residency and endocrinology fellowship
- Current, unrestricted Michigan medical license
- Board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
- Current federal DEA registration, when required for assigned clinical responsibilities
For Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Current, unrestricted Michigan NP or PA license
- Current national certification through the appropriate credentialing organization
- Demonstrated endocrinology experience or substantial experience managing diabetes and other endocrine conditions
- Prescriptive authority and federal DEA registration, when required for assigned clinical responsibilities
- Physician collaboration or supervision arrangements as required by Michigan law and the provider’s scope of practice

- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-education skills
- Comfort using electronic health records and telemedicine technology
- Ability to maintain patient privacy from an appropriate remote clinical workspace
- Commitment to timely documentation, continuity of care, and quality outcomes
