We have recently launched in the Charlotte market and are searching for an experienced restoration professional who can wear multiple hats, develop strong referral relationships, respond to emergency losses, sell mitigation services, manage projects, and ultimately become the face of our company in the region.

Compensation
- Base Salary: $75,000 annually
- Uncapped Revenue-Based Commission
- 3% Commission – Revenue up to $500,000
- 5% Commission – Revenue from $500,001 to $1,000,000
- 7% Commission – Revenue exceeding $1,000,000

Position Overview
As the Mitigation Manager / Business Development Manager, you will serve as the company's first operational leader in the Charlotte market.
Initially, this is a one-person operation where you will be responsible for growing revenue while managing emergency mitigation projects from first notice of loss through completion.
Your success will come from your ability to build referral relationships, respond quickly to emergencies, provide exceptional customer service, document and sell mitigation work, manage projects, and represent the brand with professionalism.
As the business grows, you will play a key role in building and leading the future team.
Primary ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Build relationships with plumbers, HVAC contractors, roofers, property managers, insurance agents, adjusters, municipalities, and commercial property owners.
- Conduct daily face-to-face sales calls.
- Develop strategic referral partnerships.
- Host Lunch & Learns and networking events.
- Attend industry association meetings and networking functions.
- Generate new mitigation opportunities through proactive relationship development.
- Maintain CRM activities and follow-up schedules.
- Become the preferred restoration resource within your territory.
Emergency Response & Mitigation
- Respond to residential and commercial emergency losses.
- Perform detailed inspections and damage assessments.
- Develop drying strategies based on IICRC standards.
- Complete moisture mapping and documentation.
- Prepare mitigation documents for the estimating team.
- Obtain signed work authorizations.
- Coordinate emergency mitigation activities.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors when required.
- Communicate with homeowners, insurance carriers, adjusters, and property managers.
- Monitor drying progress and make equipment adjustments.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Project Management
- Manage mitigation projects from initial inspection through completion.
- Maintain daily documentation and photographs.
- Utilize restoration software for job documentation and communication.
- Track budgets and profitability.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout every phase of the project.
- Coordinate reconstruction handoffs when applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all company SOPs and IICRC standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of restoration industry experience
- Minimum 3 years managing mitigation projects
- Proven business development or outside sales experience
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial mitigation
- Experience building referral relationships
- Experience estimating mitigation projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environments
- Ability to participate in after-hours emergency response
Preferred certifications include:
- WRT
- AMRT
- ASD
- FSRT
- OCT
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Xactimate Level 1 or higher
