Duties
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing in assigned neighborhoods to promote campaigns, services, or causes.
- Engage with community members through friendly, face-to-face communication to inform and motivate.
- Use mobile devices to record interactions, gather data, and report progress in real-time.
- Demonstrate excellent conversational engagement skills to connect with diverse audiences.
- Negotiate and address questions or concerns from residents effectively and professionally.
- Participate in community events or outdoor activities to maximize outreach efforts.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the organization with enthusiasm and integrity.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect naturally face-to-face.
- Experience in canvassing, sales, fundraising, or community engagement is a plus but not required—training provided!
- Ability to walk extensively outdoors in various weather conditions (electronic transportation available for rent after 2 weeks).
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to reach a broader audience.
- Customer service experience enhances your ability to build trust quickly.
- Familiarity with mobile devices for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Previous outdoor work experience or field sales background is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and handle conversations confidently and respectfully.
