Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead UPK Educator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our students. This position involves not only teaching but ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Educate students in various subjects, with a focus on Math and Literacy education.
- Provide support to students needing additional assistance.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support childhood development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to develop innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support student engagement.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
● Valid New York State Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent certification approved for UPK instruction).
● Experience teaching preschool or UPK-aged children preferred.
● Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
● Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
