Lead HVAC Installer – Residential & Commercial
Tharp's HVAC is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team. DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT EXPERINCE.\ This is a hit-the-ground-running position for someone who already has the fundamentals and field experience necessary to lead installations with minimal supervision.
Our work consists primarily of commercial/residential projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a lead HVAC installer
- Proficient in new construction HVAC installations
- Ability to braze and use ProPress for gas and copper piping
- Experience using digital and analog gauges, micron gauges, vacuum pumps, and related HVAC equipment
- Understanding of superheat, subcooling, Delta T, and proper system commissioning
- Basic refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Ability to troubleshoot both low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
- Must know how to properly use a voltage meter and amp clamp
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ductwork installation experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience

Pay is based on experience and skill level. We are willing to train on certain advanced procedures, but applicants must already possess the basic HVAC installation, electrical, and troubleshooting knowledge required for the position.
