Duties
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status during boarding stays
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their comfort and safety
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment through thorough sanitization and grooming practices
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing and trimming nails to keep animals comfortable and looking their best
- Support outdoor activities including dog walking, exercise sessions, and outdoor playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
- Perform team lifting and heavy lifting tasks when moving supplies or large animals to ensure safety for yourself and colleagues
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and providing updates during their stay
Qualifications
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work demonstrates your ability to handle animals confidently
- Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques
- Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of sanitation in pet care facilities
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform outdoor work comfortably throughout the day
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods is a plus
