Duties
- Operate laundry equipment such as garment care machines, industrial dryers, to clean hotel linens, towels.
- Handle materials with proper manual handling techniques, including heavy lifting and push cart usage, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed
- Sort, load, and unload laundry loads efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards and preventing cross-contamination
- Apply laundry detergents and cleaning agents correctly according to safety standards in production and textile care guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment through regular sanitation practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as transporting clean linens using push carts or carts designed for heavy loads
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all laundry processes to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards in production
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel or industrial laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory levels
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards related to textile cleaning and laundry operations
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on garment care and cleanliness standards
- Excellent customer service skills are a plus, as the role may involve interaction with hotel staff or guests when needed
- Familiarity with safety protocol adherence in production environments is advantageous
