20th Century Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of custom homes from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys building relationships with homeowners, coordinating subcontractors, solving problems proactively, and delivering an exceptional finished product.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with clients and trade partners, and takes pride in producing quality work. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the high standards that have made 20th Century Construction one of Northeast Ohio's premier custom home builders.
What You'll Do
- Manage multiple custom home construction projects from pre-construction through homeowner occupancy.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure quality workmanship and project schedules are maintained.
- Develop and manage project schedules while proactively identifying and resolving delays.
- Monitor project budgets, approve invoices, and track costs throughout construction.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to company standards.
- Communicate regularly with homeowners, providing updates and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and change orders.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.
- Work closely with internal leadership, estimating, sales, and design teams throughout the construction process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall project execution.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of Project Management, Superintendent, or similar experience in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks associated with an active construction site, including lifting materials, climbing stairs or ladders, and assisting with minor jobsite needs as necessary.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to learn Buildtopia.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
