Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for dogs and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. We are a small shop and like to keep a calm peaceful environment for the dogs.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Handle dogs with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Provide basic dog training tips to pet owners as needed, enhancing the overall experience for both pets and their owners.
- Assist in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during grooming procedures.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behavior, and any concerns that may arise during grooming.
Skills
- Proficiency in pet grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs.
- Experience in dog handling, including knowledge of animal restraint methods.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds.
- Previous professional dog grooming experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine love for dogs and commitment to their welfare is essential for success in this role.
