Job Specific Information: The Florida Certification Board, a non-profit organization, seeks a detail-oriented, efficient, and organized individual to support the company’s Financial Department needs. This position is responsible for revenue reconciliations, database entries, and various administrative and clerical duties. This position actively supports the organization’s Comptroller to ensure data accuracy and integrity for financial transactions. This position is part-time and temporary.
Job Qualifications:
- Accounting or Finance background/education. Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of four years of professional experience in a similar job classification
- Previous AP/AR processing experience. QuickBooks Online experience is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with critical attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with the public
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational skills
Key Duties of the Accounting Assistant include:
1. Process transactions
- Processing customer payments
- Entering invoices into accounting software (QBs Online)
- Complete daily sales journal entries
2. Provide accurate record keeping support in databases, cross-reference database records
3. Perform various administrative and clerical duties related to accounts payable/receivable tasks
4. Respond to customer inquiries to resolve invoice concerns and ensure prompt payment
5. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by management
