Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment to identify faults efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot, repair, or replace faulty components in HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure HVAC systems meet safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all performed tasks.
Skills
- Construction experience combined with a strong background in mechanical systems repair.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and building automation system controls.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles including ductwork layout and refrigerant flow management.
- Experience with plumbing as it relates to HVAC applications such as condensate drainage or refrigerant piping.
- Electrical diagnostics skills for troubleshooting wiring issues and electrical components within HVAC units.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and property maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various work environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the capability to repair complex mechanical systems promptly.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) for travel between job sites as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach when interacting with clients or property managers.
- EPA certification required for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R preferred.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) for system monitoring and control optimization.

Pay: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
