Duties
- Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management to ensure safe procedures during examinations and treatments
- Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, animal catheterization, and surgical assistance
- Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and equipment sterilization in accordance with veterinary standards and PPE use
- Help with record keeping by accurately documenting patient information, treatment details, and medication logs
- Provide pet care support including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal welfare throughout their visit
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as client communication, appointment scheduling, and answering inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred; familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus
- Experience handling dogs and other animals confidently and compassionately; knowledge of animal behavior is advantageous
- Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while adhering to safety protocols and PPE guidelines
- Basic skills in record keeping, medication administration, and understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Willingness to learn new techniques such as IV insertion, animal catheterization, and surgical support procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare with a positive attitude and energetic work ethic
