H&H Metal Source is currently seeking to add a Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job summary:
The shipping coordinator is responsible for:
- Review and reconcile completed work orders according to specifications.
- Organize, coordinate, and communicate outbound truck shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Create and distribute all necessary shipping documents including bills of lading, material certifications, and pick lists.
- Receive incoming coil inventory information and maintain accurate receiving records.
- Maintain shipping, transportation, and DOT-related records.
- Schedule preventive maintenance for company trucks and trailers.
- Adjust shipments and schedules based on customer requirements and production priorities.
- Maintain accurate production, shipping, and receiving records.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Transportation personnel to ensure customer orders are completed and delivered on time.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in fast paced environment with a high level of accuracy in a team setting with minimal supervision.
Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience in logistics, shipping, manufacturing administration, inventory control, or a related field.
