An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with BRC CONSTRUCTION is a hands-on tradesperson responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility systems. They respond to equipment breakdowns, execute emergency repairs (sometimes during off hours), perform scheduled, routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and rebuild worn components to keep operations running smoothly and safely with minimum downtime.
PAY RANGE: $25 - $42/HOUR with $100.00/per diem depending on experience and certifications.
EDUCATION: Diploma or GED.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate for our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will meet the following requirements:
- Maintain the ethics and professionalism of BRC Construction in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Candidates must be familiar with repair and rebuilding mechanical components.
- Diagnose mechanical failures on production equipment.
- Maintain hydraulic systems, service pneumatic systems, and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Assist others with equipment installations, machine moves and major overhauls, and other jobs assigned.
- Respond to production emergency calls for breakdown maintenance, assess severity, and communicate timeline estimates to supervisors.
- Follow strict safety guidelines such as executing lockout/tagout procedures and its documentation before beginning work on any energized equipment: verify zero-energy state.
- Welding: MIG/stick for basic fabrication and repair work.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work - ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods on concrete,work in confined space, work at heights on platforms and mezzanines, work in hot, dirty, noisy environments, wear mandatory PPE, and work in various environmental conditions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Drug test required.
CERTIFICATIONS: OSHA-10 hour required prior to start date (BRC will provide the online course at no cost to employee).
