ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL
Location: Center Line Public Schools
Salary: In Accordance with the CLAA Master Agreement
Reports To: Superintendent or Designee
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function of this position is to be the instructional leader for the building.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree

Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

Administrative Certification or Willingness to Complete Certification Within Three (3) Years from the Date of Hire.

Elementary Teaching Experience

Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Provide leadership for effective research-based instruction.
-
Implement the policies of the Center Line Board of Education in accordance with any Administrative Regulations approved by the Board.

Coordinate, schedule, and assign supervision of curricular and extracurricular activities and programs.

Evaluate all personnel based on their functions and duties as stated in job descriptions, master contracts, Board policies, and state law.

Assign and schedule teachers to implement instructional programs.

Assume responsibility for all building budgets and requisition the necessary supplies, equipment, and instructional materials to provide adequate tools to implement programs and meet the educational needs of the students.

Participate in appropriate administrative and professional district committees and subcommittees.

Assure the health, safety, and general welfare of persons in the building. Conduct building fire evacuations, and tornado drills according to laws and policies.

Meet with the Superintendent or designee to evaluate the instructional programs, to assess future needs, and recommend program improvements.

Work cooperatively with other administrators and Board members to promote and attain the management team concept.

Supervise the attendance, conduct, and assignment of all students assigned to the building.

Facilitate open communication and develop positive public relations with all stakeholders.

Comply with the applicable laws, regulations, and policies of the State of Michigan.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
