The Original Mels Diner located at the Boomtown Casino is a busy and fast paced restaurant that serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We need an experienced line cook that can skillfully and quickly prepare eggs, burgers, steaks and everything in between. Our cooks work multiple stations at times depending on the level of business so multitasking is essential to our operations. Line cooks are involved in food prep as well depending on the shift and are expected to participate in the cleaning, resetting, and stocking of the line each shift. Line cooks at Mels receive tips as a percentage of sales which amounts to $1 - $2 an hour in additional income. Weekend and Holidays are our busiest times at Mels, so availability on these days is essential to our operations. We currently need a cook for Wednesday and Sunday for Breakfast and Lunch as well as Friday and Saturday Dinners. We are open to both full and part time applicants. For those looking to maximize their income, we are open to and frequently offer scheduled overtime to those who can perform at a high level.
