Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and preparation
- Manage case files and documents utilizing iManage and other document management systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and deposition summaries
- Coordinate client interviews and witness interviews to gather essential case information while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and case milestones to ensure timely filings and submissions
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and maintaining organized records for civil litigation cases
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal support professional with a strong background in litigation support
- Familiarity with procedural law across various practice areas including general & commercial litigation, personal injury law, estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, immigration law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), and others
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with PCLaw is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), iManage, Document management systems, and data entry tools
- Experience supporting legal procedures such as document review, proofreading, transcription, filing systems, and client communication
- Knowledge of procedural rules governing civil litigation processes across jurisdictions
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with effective proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
