Responsibilities

Diagnose lawn, tree, and plant health concerns and implement appropriate treatments.

Maintain strong knowledge of lawn and tree care products, application methods, and industry best practices.

Coordinate the scheduling of lawn and tree care applications.

Ensure all required NYS DEC records, data entries, and forms are completed accurately and on time.

Attend client meetings and clearly communicate treatment recommendations and service updates.
-
Approve daily work tickets and monitor labor hours and overtime.

Ensure all work is completed according to Oceanview Landscapes’ quality and service standards.

Maintain knowledge of the department’s trucks, equipment, tools, and materials.
-
Coordinate with subcontractors and schedule their work as needed.

Maintain vendor relationships and knowledge of where products and materials are purchased.
-
Manage and submit receipts through the company’s accounts payable program.
-
Assist with inventory management and order lawn and plant health care materials, plants, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
-
Prepare service and standard estimates using Aspire.
-
Provide crews with the materials and equipment needed to complete their daily work.
-
Address client questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
-
Assist with other operational responsibilities and seasonal assignments as needed.
Qualifications and Skills

Valid and clean driver’s license.
-
NYS DEC Commercial Pesticide Applicator or Technician certification preferred.

Minimum of two years of lawn care, plant health care, tree care, horticulture, or related field experience.

Strong knowledge of lawn, tree, and plant health issues and treatments.

Familiarity with NYS DEC pesticide recordkeeping and reporting requirements.

Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred.

Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.

Experience with Aspire or similar landscape management software preferred.
-
Ability to manage employees, subcontractors, inventory, and multiple priorities.

Compensation
-
Expected salary range of $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience. Higher compensation may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
