Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee industrial and pipeline construction projects from contract award through final completion in Superior, Wisconsin. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of assigned projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position serves as the primary liaison between clients, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from contract award through final completion
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, schedules, and pre-job requirements before project startup
- Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project success
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and lead regular progress meetings
- Monitor project performance, including schedule, labor, equipment, material usage, and budget
- Identify and resolve issues affecting productivity, cost, quality, or project schedule
- Manage subcontractor agreements, scopes of work, and overall performance
- Prepare, submit, negotiate, and track change orders
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and applicable union agreements
- Review and approve project invoices and daily Labor, Equipment, and Material (LEM) reports
- Review employee timecards and communicate corrections related to wage rates, per diem, and truck pay with field supervisors
- Provide regular project updates, financial reports, schedule forecasts, and risk assessments to company leadership
- Work closely with Project Controls and Accounting to ensure project scope, forecasts, and budgets remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle
- Foster strong communication between field and office personnel to keep projects moving efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience in pipeline, industrial, or heavy civil construction. Oil and gas industry experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software (experience utilizing Foundation Software is preferred)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Midwest
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
- PMP Certified or In-Progress
- Primavera P6 scheduling experience
Work Location
- Combination of office work in Superior, Wisconsin, and travel to field project sites across the Midwest.
- Minimal travel for site visits.
