Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing and office coordinator with 1+ years of medical billing, to lead the billing/revenue cycle management and daily administrative flow for our established, single-physician Dermatology practice. This is an on-site position in our Palm Beach Gardens office of Palm Beach Dermatology.

Work independently while also having the support of our billing team members in our locations throughout Palm Beach County.
The Role
As the primary steward of our practice's financial health, you will serve as the "right hand" to our physicians revenue cycle. You will have full coordination from charge capture to denial management and accounts receivable—while ensuring the RCM flow. This is an individual contributing role that requires a professional who takes pride in accuracy and patient-centered service that could work independently, and with an office team.
Primary Responsibilities: Subject but not limited to:
- Manage accounts receivable, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation.
- Submit, monitor, and follow up on Medicare and commercial insurance claims.
- Post ERA's and EOB's into the EHR system
- Investigate, appeal, and resolve denied or unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Review billing for accuracy using CPT and ICD-10 coding guidelines.
- Generate accounts receivable aging reports and analyze financial trends using Excel.
- Partner with providers, billing staff, and insurance carriers to resolve discrepancies.
- Respond professionally to patient and insurance billing inquiries.
- Additional revenue cycle, Insurance AR, month end reports
- End of Month patient statements and AR reporting
- Front Desk Coverage when needed
Professional Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Minimum of 1+ years of dedicated medical billing experience. Dermatology is a plus. Proficiency in -specific EMR/PMS systems, not specific to (Greenway Intergy) and Modernizing Medicine but experience in those systems would be a plus but not required.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of modifiers, insurance payer rules, and the nuances of deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. AR, denials, appeals, CPT and ICD-10 expertise.
- Operational Excellence: A self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot billing issues, and multitask in a high-standard office and clinical environment.
- Communication: A professional demeanor capable of providing empathetic, clear financial counseling to patients. Communicates with physician on the financials within the practice and has a can-do outlook.
