Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate Square POS system to process sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing recommendations to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee cart area, including food handling stations, seating areas, and equipment to ensure food safety standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately while processing payments and giving correct change using cash handling best practices
- Restock supplies regularly and assist in food preparation to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience is preferred but not required; a passion for coffee and customer service is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong skills in retail math, cash handling, and basic math are necessary for accurate transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively engage with guests
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques
- Experience in food service or retail sales transactions is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, self motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean workspace
