General Function
The Quality Control Technician’s responsibilities include: Working closely with production employees, supervisors and regulatory staff to ensure Quality and Food Safe items for D&D‘s customers.

Reporting Relations
Accountable and Reports to: Quality Control Managers and Compliance Manager
Positions that Report to you: None
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and ensuring food safety. Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.
- Responsible for taking ATP swabs as needed.
- Review labels of all production runs. Ensuring proper dating and product are used.
- Monitor daily allergen sequences and assist production with sequence of production runs.
- Performs pre-operational checks on equipment as needed.
- Review daily production paperwork and ensure it is complete.
- Ensure and monitor all levels of sanitation daily including workstations and employee practices.
- Ensure HACCP and food safety practices are followed.
- Ensure the collection of product samples are complete.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Attention to detail and follow through.
- Must have the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve problems and with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Must be knowledgeable of warehouse distribution, safety program, procedures, laws and regulations, sanitation practices and standards.
- Needs to have some computer experience.
Education and Experience:
- High School education or equivalent.
- Prior food manufacturing or Quality Control experience.
Physical Requirements:
This is considered an unskilled position. Frequent to constant handling, grasping, constant listening, talking, hearing, seeing, reading, dealing with people, influencing others, evaluating information.
Working Conditions:
- Duties occur on production floor.
- Will be required to work under time constraints and be flexible in hours worked.
- Ability to adapt to changes throughout daily operation.
- Must have the ability to work independently.

Photocopier, scale, thermometer and two-way radio.
