Position Summary
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build skills in industrial maintenance, millwright work, welding, and fabrication.
Industrial experience is helpful, but we are willing to consider individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications and Skills
- Assist millwrights, welders, fabricators, and foremen with industrial projects
- Assist with installation, removal, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Measure, cut, grind, drill, and prepare materials
- Assist with conveyor installation and repair
- Assist with equipment tear-downs and installations
- Help move, position, and stage equipment and materials
- Perform general labor associated with industrial maintenance and fabrication projects
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Follow instructions from foremen and experienced tradespeople
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures
- Learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as experience increases
Job Requirements
- Must be able to pass random drug screening
- Strong attendance and punctuality required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic expected
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Willingness to learn and develop additional skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing, lifting, kneeling, and exposure to various weather conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Previous construction, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, farming, maintenance, or skilled-trade experience is a plus but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
