About Looply
Looply is a luxury re-commerce platform helping U.S. consumers turn pre-owned luxury goods into instant value. We make it effortless for people to sell the luxury items they no longer use. We're building our Los Angeles team from the ground up and looking for people who want to help shape a brand from day one.
About the Role
Our team is growing at Looply, and we're looking for a self-driven Luxury Buyback Specialist to acquire pre-owned luxury goods directly from our clients. This is a client-facing, appointment-based role, you'll split your time roughly evenly between our LA office and on-site visits to clients' homes and offices, where you'll evaluate, price, and purchase luxury handbags, watches, fine jewelry, accessories, and premium electronics, making offers and closing buybacks on the spot.
This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for luxury, strong people skills, and the drive to consistently meet acquisition targets.
Responsibilities
- Drive buyback volume through appointment-based visits, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly targets for the number and value of items acquired.
- Evaluate luxury handbags, watches, fine jewelry, and premium electronics for authenticity, condition, and market value, drawing on Looply's internal tools, pricing data, and your own expertise in the luxury market.
- Set clear pricing expectations and present competitive, transparent offers, walking each client through the process so they feel confident selling to Looply.
- Close purchases on the spot, delivering a fast, seamless experience from the first conversation all the way through to final payment.
- Document each acquired item through photography and internal systems to prepare inventory for listing.
- Deliver a high-touch, white-glove experience at every step — the kind of service that builds trust, earns loyalty, and keeps clients coming back.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in luxury retail, resale, personal styling, client advisory, or a comparable client-facing sales role.
- A strong eye for luxury product, with working knowledge of premium brands across handbags, watches, and jewelry; ability to assess authenticity and condition (formal authentication training a plus).
- A proven track record of building client relationships and hitting sales or acquisition targets.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local on-site visits.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
