American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU/OR position at a Level III Trauma facility, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and an active MA RN license.

Hospital-based surgical services setting in a complex community environment designated as a Level III Trauma center
-
Operating Room unit with 15 beds and an approximate daily census of 30–40 patients
-
Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients at a 1:1 clinician-to-patient ratio

Shift hours vary and include days and evenings: 9:00am–7:30pm, 10:00am–8:30pm, 2:00pm–12:30pm, and 8:00am–6:30pm, structured as 4x10s, 2x10s, or 2x8s

Weekend rotation required: 1–2 shifts per 4-week schedule
-
Evening rotation required: 1–2 shifts per 4-week schedule for day-shift staff

On-call required: 1 holiday call, 2–3 weekday calls per 4-week schedule, and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule (weekend shifts include an attached call period)

No floating required

EMR: Epic (charting experience expected)

Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos

Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of OR/PACU experience in a single location and 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; AHA is the only accepted provider for this facility

Proficiency in basic aseptic technique and independent circulating required

Multispecialty OR competence required

Experience with Mako and Da Vinci robotic systems required

Two professional references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

BSN and CNOR certification are preferred

Scrub experience is preferred

Epic charting experience is expected given the EMR in use

Candidates whose permanent residence is within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local candidates
