Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, offices, and common spaces, using appropriate techniques and equipment. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, offices, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Follow emergency procedures diligently during incidents or safety concerns to protect staff and maintain safety standards across all cleaning activities.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or equipment, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for foot traffic.
- Keep the common kitchen areas clean, including the microwave, refrigerator, and garbage cans around the production floor, and all facilities.
- Follow emergency procedures diligently during incidents or safety concerns to protect staff.
- Use industrial cleaning tools and supplies efficiently while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in manufacturing settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to manufacturing area maintenance.
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling, SDS documentation, and safety procedures related to industrial cleaning products.
- Experience with floor care equipment, such as buffers or scrubbers, is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning tasks.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
