Responsibilities:
- Job Summary
- As a Ready-Mix Concrete Truck Driver, you will safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver fresh ready-mix concrete to commercial, industrial, and residential job sites. This position is perfect for professional drivers who enjoy local routes, hands-on work, and interacting with customers in the field.
- Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maneuver concrete mixer trucks in accordance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Deliver perishable product to job sites efficiently, ensuring the material maintains its proper quality and slump during transit.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
- Maneuver and position the truck safely on construction sites, navigating tight spaces, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions.
- Assemble and attach concrete chutes to discharge material precisely according to customer specifications.
- Wash down the truck and chutes after delivery to minimize concrete buildup and keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, plant managers, and customers to ensure seamless service.
- Complete all delivery tickets, logs, and necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL A driver
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload trucks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
