The City and County of Broomfield is building its enterprise asset management program from the ground up — and we are seeking a visionary, execution-oriented leader to architect it in coordination with key partners. This is a rare opportunity to shape how a forward-thinking municipality manages billions of dollars in public infrastructure for generations to come. The position will be responsible for coordinating the building of an enterprise asset management program.
Key responsibilities include cross-functional strategy, partnering with various departments, collaborating on enterprise-wide assessments; developing asset management strategies, policies, standards, and governance frameworks; leading stakeholder engagement and cross-functional data reporting with regular asset performance metrics, and strategic recommendations; overseeing system selection, implementation, and optimization efforts; supporting procurements and RFP processes; and advancing asset management practices to support informed decision-making, service delivery, and long-term stewardship of public assets.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Partners with Departments to develop and maintain an enterprise-wide asset management framework, governance structure, policies, standards, and service levels to support the effective stewardship of capital assets throughout their lifecycle.
Establish and oversee a centralized inventory of capital assets, including facilities, infrastructure, fleet, technology, parks, and open space assets.
Collaborate with Departments to define lifecycle cost standards, condition assessment methodologies, and asset replacement strategies.
Facilitate enterprise asset data governance efforts by establishing data standards, performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes that support data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-range capital planning.
Direct the implementation, integration, and optimization of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and related technologies, including alignment with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, and other enterprise systems.
Coordinate vendor, contract, and service-provider relationships related to asset management programs, systems, equipment, software, maintenance agreements, and asset disposition activities to ensure cost-effective service delivery and compliance with organizational policies.
Partner with Departments to monitor asset performance, service levels, and organizational outcomes through the development and administration of key performance indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments and serve as a strategic liaison between operational teams and executive leadership, advancing organizational change management efforts and aligning asset management practices with strategic goals, service delivery objectives, and long-term financial sustainability.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Work is generally scheduled Monday-Friday.
Work is performed at City/County work locations with the ability to perform some duties remotely in accordance with Broomfield's remote work policy
Some evening and weekend hours.
Attend meetings as required during evening hours. Some meetings may be virtual or will require in-person attendance.
Physical demands are described as light (exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects).
Required to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Tasks may require use of a computer for several hours.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
