Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques such as buffing and floor care equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to prevent contamination.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as replenishing supplies like paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and break areas.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed for lighting, plumbing or cleaning equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize commercial cleaning methods to efficiently clean large spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide porter services when needed, including moving supplies or furniture to facilitate cleaning or maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the day.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus;
