At Mitzvah Circle, we think differently about people in need. We support individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness and serious illness, serving people walking along life’s edge by providing individualized material support, case management and coaching.
Our Period Supply Program makes huge strides in reducing period poverty. In 2024 we gave away 986,094 menstrual products directly to families in need, as well as through our 110 partnerships with schools, community centers, social service agencies and other organizations.
Our Period Poverty Advocacy Intern will work with our Volunteer Coordinators to administer this program.
This position is great for learning non-profit operations, as well as developing leadership skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Coordinate with schools for product distribution and scheduling
· Contact additional schools and organizations to develop new partnerships and expand our program
· Able to utilize technology platforms which will include Salesforce
· Work closely with other staff and interns
· Pack for organizations to pick up the products
· Help unloading trucks and organizing warehouse as needed when large shipments arrive
· Special projects as assigned

Students must have completed at least their sophomore year with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
You will be part of a cohort of approximately 10 interns across different areas, so you will have collaborative opportunities with other students as well as our employees and volunteers.
Our offices are in Montgomeryville/Lansdale, PA. You will need your own transportation. Interns will need to pass a background check.
Our interns work 9:00am-1:00pm. You can choose the days that work best for you - a minimum of 8 hours across 2 days. You can choose to add more hours beyond this. The internship starts the week of August 24th, and you need to commit to stay through December 11th even if you complete required hours sooner.
We will pay a $500 stipend upon successful completion of the internship. We are happy to work with students toward academic credit and can work to accommodate your school requirements.
