SUMMARY: The Valet Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising valet staff, welcoming and providing assistance upon arrival, assisting with luggage, hotel services, and area information, parking guest cars in garage, and retrieving cars upon request.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Escorts incoming and outgoing hotel guests to and from rooms, assists with luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
- Inspects guest's room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate
- Explains features of room such as operation of radio, television, fireplace, ceiling fans, windows, location of breakfast menu and ordering procedures, etc.
- Parks and retrieves guest cars in a safe manner and in accordance with hotel standards.
- Delivers packages, suitcases, and miscellaneous guest items.
- Keeps record of calls for service.
- Greets guests at front door or car upon arrival.
- Maintains the image of the hotel by appearing extremely presentable, well-groomed and in a pressed uniform.
- Maintains safety and security of guests at all times
- Adheres to key control policy and procedure according to set standards
- Learn basic Front Desk procedures to provide back-up and relief service.
- Delivers messages and runs errands when necessary.
- Picks up and delivers articles for laundry and valet service
- Sets up and maintains afternoon wine and cheese reception as assigned
- Deliver firewood to landings; Maintains firewood supply in lobby
- Completes assigned cleaning responsibilities to maintain the hotel's standards
- Drives guests or VIP's in company car as set up by front desk or management
- Tidies lobby.
- Assists in training new/other employees.
· Support safe work habits and contribute to a safe working environment at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge resort/hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Excellent communication, verbal, written, customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with employees and guests.
- Ability to multi-task, manage interruptions, establish work priorities, handle stress, and effectively function in a fast-paced environment.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience, Hotel/hospitality experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Ability to read, comprehend and provide instructions in English, both written and verbal.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel preferred.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean DMV record.
· Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
