We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Fish Packer to join our seafood production team. The Fish Packer is responsible for preparing, packing, labeling, and organizing fresh seafood products while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety.
Pack fresh fish and seafood products according to company standards and customer orders.
Weigh, portion, wrap, seal, and label seafood products accurately.
Inspect products for quality, freshness, and proper presentation before packing.
Prepare boxes and containers for delivery and shipment.
Add ice or other required packaging materials to maintain proper product temperature.
Ensure orders are packed accurately and ready for delivery on time.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
Properly handle and store seafood products to prevent contamination or damage.
Assist with inventory organization and product rotation as needed.
Work closely with fish cutters, warehouse staff, and supervisors to complete daily orders.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous experience in seafood, food production, packing, or warehouse environments is preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a refrigerated and wet environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Must be willing to follow strict sanitation and food safety procedures.
This position works primarily in a refrigerated seafood processing and warehouse environment. Employees may regularly be exposed to cold temperatures, water, ice, and seafood products.
