InGenesis is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to work with our client. In this role, you will perform procedures using analytical methodology in a clinical laboratory.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory tests.
- Prepare specimens and perform analytical examinations and quality tests.
- Operate and perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintains inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related science field; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular genetic technology; OR
- Completion of an accredited Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science program.
In addition, candidates with a Bachelor's degree must possess one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience.
Must possess one of the following certifications:
- Technologist/Scientist certification in Blood Banking (BB), Chemistry (C), Hematology (H), Microbiology (M), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Molecular Biology (MB) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC); OR
- Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) through the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI); OR
- Medical Technologist (MT) or Molecular Diagnostics Technologist (MDT) certification through the American Medical Technologists (AMT).
