Overnight Direct Care Professional
Location: Bay City
Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 40 hours per week
We are seeking a dependable and attentive Overnight Direct Care Professional to provide one-on-one support for an adult with physical and developmental disabilities in a private home through a Self-Determination program.
This is one client in one home—not a facility and not a position requiring travel between multiple clients.
REQUIRED NIGHT SCHEDULE
This position is for the following 40-hour weekly schedule:
Tuesday: 10:30 PM–4:00 AMWednesday: 10:30 PM–4:00 AMThursday: 10:30 PM–4:00 AMFriday: 10:30 PM–4:00 AMSaturday: 9:00 PM–4:00 AMSunday: 9:00 PM–8:00 AM
Monday night is not part of this position.
Applicants must be available for the schedule listed above, including Saturday and Sunday nights. Weekend availability is required.

OVERNIGHT RESPONSIBILITIES
This is an awake overnight position. The employee must remain attentive and available to provide support throughout the shift.
Responsibilities include:
- Overnight safety monitoring and supervision
- Responding promptly when the individual is awake or needs assistance
- Monitoring for health and safety concerns
- Personal care and hygiene assistance
- Brief changes as needed
- Repositioning and mobility assistance
- Hoyer lift transfers when required
- Providing comfort and appropriate engagement when awake
- Morning personal care and support on extended shifts
- Cleaning and organizing care-related equipment and supplies
- Completing required documentation
- Communicating important information regarding the overnight shift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires hands-on physical assistance. Applicants must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job, including:
- Lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and repositioning
- Hoyer lift transfers
- Assisting with mobility and positioning
- Providing hands-on personal care
- Performing physical support duties throughout the shift

QUALIFICATIONS
- Dependable attendance is essential
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to remain awake and attentive throughout the overnight shift
- Comfortable providing personal and hands-on care
- Able to work the required weekend schedule
- Experience as a caregiver, DSP, CLS worker, CNA, Home Health Aide, or similar position preferred
- Training provided for the right candidate
