Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Electrician will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Duties
- Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems as required
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for installation and repair tasks
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including maintenance person services for integrated projects
- Follow safety protocols to minimize risks associated with electrical work
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including logic controllers and frame carpentry techniques
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage installations is advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Understanding of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work
