Primary Responsibilities
1) Use a sledge hammer to knockout ceramic material from metal molds.
2) Sandblast ceramic material from molds using a pot blaster.
3) Safely cut parts from molds with the use of a friction band saw, plasma cutter and/or chop saw.
4) Repetitively grind gates from parts by using different types of grinders such as a belt grinder and disc grinder.
5) Inspect and rework parts to specifications.
Skills and Requirements
1) Ability to follow complex work instructions that include dimensional and visual quality requirements.
2) Fast pace, high pressure, quick decision making manufacturing environment.
3) Use of lean production principles including 6S to maintain a highly organized and standardized work environment.
4) Basic computer skills needed for production data input and reference (work instructions, production output, scrap, etc.).
5) Education: High School Diploma/GED
