Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proven track record in outside sales, preferably within industrial distribution, fasteners, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM/ERP systems (LEADsmart and Prophet 21 preferred).
Education and Experience
- College degree or equivalent work experience in business, sales, or a related field.
- Knowledge of fasteners, MRO products, and technical sales.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Work Environment
This job requires frequent travel within the assigned territory to customer locations, trade shows, and vendor meetings. Occasional lifting of product samples or promotional materials (up to 25 lbs.). Ability to work in varied environments, including offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities.
