Are you organized, friendly, and passionate about helping others? Our growing private optometry practice is looking for a full-time Optometrist Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, learning new skills, and working in a positive, fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You''l Do
Reception, scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification. You'll also have the opportunity to assist in other areas of the practice as needed. We value team members who are flexible, dependable, and willing to help wherever they're needed to provide an outstanding patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Verify vision and medical insurance benefits before patient appointments
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist patients with questions
- Greet and check patients in and out
- Collect patient information and maintain accurate records
- Help ensure a smooth daily workflow at the front desk
- Assist with clinical pre-testing, patient education, and other office duties as needed
- Support technician and optical roles as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous medical office, reception, or insurance experience is a plus but not required
