Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and ensure timely delivery.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card payments, and upselling additional items like drinks or desserts.
- Provide knowledgeable beverage service, including spirits, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options, maintaining high standards of presentation and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Assist in food preparation or plating when necessary, supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently while providing excellent guest relations.
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through personalized service, upselling opportunities, and attentive guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with POS systems is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktail mixing, and drink presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash safely.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.
- Experience with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, or host/hostess duties is advantageous.
