Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines, including industrial washers and dryers, to efficiently clean linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage of laundry items.
- Use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety standards in production.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely using push carts or other equipment to transport laundry loads throughout the facility.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning work areas and following safety protocol adherence during all laundry processes.
- Assist with garment care machine operation, including dry cleaning equipment when necessary, to ensure textiles are cleaned according to type and fabric care instructions.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to laundry service requests and ensuring timely delivery of clean textiles.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in production environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control for textile cleaning and garment care.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment effectively.
- Good communication skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service.
