Position: Residential Service Electrician
Reports To: Electrical Department Manager
Akian Plumbing, Heating & AC is looking for an experienced Residential Electrical Installation Technician to join our growing electrical team.

What You'll Do
- Perform residential electrical installations, replacements, and upgrades
- Install and upgrade electrical panels, subpanels, circuit breakers, and related equipment
- Install new circuits and residential wiring
- Install lighting, outlets, switches, fixtures, and other electrical components
- Install EV chargers, generators, and smart-home electrical systems as applicable
- Complete electrical work associated with HVAC, plumbing, and other home-service installations
- Read and follow job specifications, electrical plans, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
- Ensure installations meet Massachusetts electrical code and Akian quality and safety standards
- Complete installations correctly the first time to minimize callbacks and deliver a 5-star client experience
- Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate job progress with the appropriate team members
- Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized throughout each installation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company-provided vehicle
- Safely handle and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Mentor and support apprentices and junior technicians when needed
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, code, and company training
- Collaborate with Akian's HVAC and plumbing teams on projects involving multiple trades
What We're Looking For
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician License — required
- 2–5+ years of residential electrical experience preferred
- Strong residential electrical installation experience
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts electrical code and residential wiring methods
- Experience with panel changes, service upgrades, new circuits, and other residential electrical projects
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, professional workmanship
- Ability to work independently and efficiently complete assigned installation projects
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support apprentices and other trades
- Commitment to workplace and jobsite safety
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work from ladders ranging from approximately 4–32 feet
- Work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, and other confined areas
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
- Safely handle electrical tools, equipment, and installation materials
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying New England weather conditions

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
