Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when appropriate
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management with precision
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items to increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented according to merchandising standards
- Maintain accurate retail math calculations for transactions and inventory counts
- Follow phone etiquette protocols when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support inventory management by stocking products, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory replenishment
Skills
- Proven experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and stock management
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising principles
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently to educate customers about features and benefits
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional customer interactions
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing cash drawers
- Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Stocking, merchandising, and inventory management skills to keep the store organized and inviting
