Job Overview Join the team at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit! We are looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking team members who enjoy working with people and being part of a team. This is a cross-trained position involving food preparation, cooking, cashier duties, customer service, and order preparation. Training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Prepare ingredients and keep stations stocked.
- Safely use kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
- Take orders and process payments accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers at the serving line.
- Prepare and check online and to-go orders.
- Assist with catering and larger orders as needed.
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary restaurant.
- Work as a team and assist wherever needed.
Skills
- Food preparation and handling experience is a plus, but not required. Training is provided.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to work well with others and support the team when needed.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions from supervisors and team leaders.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing customer payments accurately.
- Ability to follow recipes, restaurant standards, and food safety procedures.
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness practices is a plus.
- Ability to stand and stay active for at least 6 hours and lift and carry items as needed.
