Deli Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the deli department. Also responsible for managing food inventory, ordering food & beverage equipment and supplies. Oversees food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food. Ensures customer & employee satisfaction.
Job Duties
Handle day-to-day foodservice operations
Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
Assist Store Manager in selecting and hiring food service personnel
Train and develop food service employees
Scheduling for food service employees
Order and control food service inventories to include comparing records with merchandise ordered and working with vendors to ensure accuracy of inventory costs in addition to controlling inventory costs
Drive sales by executing company marketing initiatives and promotions
Achieve sales, unit, and profit goals for the food and beverage categories
Accurately count, stock, order inventory and provide data to support store profitability
Proactively identify ways to grow the food business
Operate various pieces of food service and beverage equipment
Maintain clean and appealing workspace and service areas
Inspect and maintain equipment to cleanliness and operations standards
Basic Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt to change
Ability to multi-task while maintaining high detail orientation
Broad availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays
