Job Overview
Thompson’s Smokehouse is looking for dependable seasonal team members to join our hardworking crew during busy processing season. This is a hands-on, physical position in a fast-paced meat processing environment.
Experience in meat processing, wild game processing, or skinning is preferred, but we are willing to train dependable and motivated applicants.
Responsibilities
- Trimming meat
- Grinding meat
- Skinning wild game animals
- Taking in animals from customers
- Packaging products
- Cleaning and sanitation
- Assisting with jerky production
- General shop support
Requirements
- Dependable and on time
- Weekend availability is required
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
- Comfortable working around raw meat and wild game
- Able to work in cold environments
- Able to stand for long periods
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and help where needed
- Experience in meat processing, skinning, or wild game processing preferred
Pay
Starting at $14/hour
Schedule
Seasonal
Full-time and part-time positions available
Weekend availability is required.
Typical work hours start at 9:00 AM, though some days may start earlier depending on workload. Shifts usually end between 4:00–6:00 PM, but during busy season workdays can occasionally last until 7:00 PM or until the job is completed.
