Position Summary:
The Production Roller plays a key role in supporting store operations by ensuring a consistent flow of merchandise from the production area to the sales floor. This position is responsible for rotating, rolling out, and stocking priced merchandise and produce in a timely and organized manner. The ideal candidate is comfortable being on their feet for extended periods and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Roll out priced merchandise from the production area to the sales floor on a rotating basis.
- Ensure merchandise is neatly and accurately stocked in designated areas.
- Maintain awareness of product rotation schedules to ensure freshness and relevance.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and backroom.
- Communicate effectively with the store management regarding inventory flow and floor needs.
- Follow all safety and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with shoppers, answering questions or directing them to appropriate staff as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor and backroom.
- Meet or exceed hourly production goals for pricing and merchandise output.
- Provide general support to the production area as needed.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Prior customer service experience, preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
Preferred/Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail or warehouse experience is a plus but is not required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing carts and stocking shelves.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
Work Environment:
- This position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- Work is performed in both the production and retail areas of the store.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels.
