The Inspection Supervisor is a department head position that reports directly to the General Manager. All duties and responsibilities coincide with the 761 Commonwealth location of Peterson Cartridge Co. The key responsibilities of the Inspection Supervisor are to oversee the department employees, workflow, and work area.
Responsibilities
Personnel Management of the Inspection Department
- Time and Attendance Management
- Monitor and enforce attendance policies and procedures
- Conduct Annual Reviews
- Maintain records and give feedback to employees
- Task and Duty Delegation
- Gatekeeper of Company Policy and HR
- Perform Job Assessments for department employees and potential new employees
- Accountable for daily performance metrics
Follow the Inspection Schedule Provided by the Production Scheduler
- Communicate changes and adjust workflow to department
- Work Closely with the production scheduler and maintain the schedule and ensure all products and raw materials are available for upcoming work orders
Manage workflow of the Inspection Department
- Manage Outputs from each work order
- Process Good Product
- Process Scrap Product
- Manage Scrap Product Documentation
- Ensure Proper Storage and Handling of all products
- Maintain a Clean and Organized work environment (5-S)
Attend Pertinent Meetings
- Production Meeting
- Personnel Meeting
- Operations Meeting
Reporting Package
- Complete a weekly reporting package that measures the fulcrum activities of the department
Additional Duties
- Responsible for maintaining Quality Standards
- Ability to collaborate with other departments
- Willingness to do whatever the department needs
- Flexible to the needs of the business and ability to pivot from one task to another
- Operate Forklift
- Revise written policies and procedures to improve company performance
- Assist with inventory counts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in an operational role
- Personnel Management
- Inventory Management
- Manufacturing experience
- ERP experience
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Word
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
