Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will support construction projects through inspection, coordination, and technical assistance in water, sanitary sewer, storm water and roadway construction. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet quality standards, adhere to plans and specifications, and progress smoothly from start to finish. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic construction environment. Valid drivers license needed. Company truck will be supplied. project base is in Gloucester and Salem Counties.
Duties
- Conduct on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Assist with construction management tasks including scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution
- Operate level for grading
- Ensure quality control through detailed inspections.
Requirements
- Municipal Engineering Construction Inspection Part 1 and 2 certifications or NICET certification desired but not required.
- Proven experience in construction site environments with familiarity in construction inspection and management
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and construction management principles is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Relevant certifications or training in construction safety or specialized trades are preferred

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
