Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates for residential projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope of work, ensuring competitive yet profitable bids.
- Prepare detailed cost proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, permits, and contingencies while maintaining strict cost control standards.
- Review construction contracts and project plans to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Monitor ongoing project costs during construction to manage change orders and maintain accurate financial tracking.
- Utilize construction management principles to oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and overall project financial health.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating within residential or similar sectors with a strong understanding of construction processes on-site.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or equivalent tools is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Solid background in construction management principles including cost control, project management, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and regulations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in estimates.
